Waltz Basic

Men's Steps

(The woman is in standard dance position in front of the man)

1. Large step forward with the LF.
2. Small step forward with the RF so that right heel is parallel to left toe 6 - 8 inches apart.
3. Bring the LF to the RF.
4. Large step back with the RF.
5. Small step back with the LF so that the left toe is parallel to right heel 6 - 8 inches apart.
6. Bring the RF to the LF.

Women's Steps

(The man is in standard dance position in front of the woman)

1. Large step back with the RF.
2. Small step back with the LF so that the left toe is parallel to right heel 6 - 8 inches apart.
3. Bring the RF to the LF.
4. Large step forward with the LF.
5. Small step forward with the RF so that right heel is parallel to left toe 6 - 8 inches apart.
6. Bring the LF to the RF.
